Honey biscuits

Hey everyone!! Remember that recipe I made for an lemon and orange lemonade..the first recipe I posted. That picture I posted where it had a plate with biscuits in the middle of the two glasses..they were honey biscuits!I am finally deciding to post a recipe of those biscuits after so very long!I absolutely love these...especially when you're having it with a hot cup of cocoa or tea! It never fails to put a smile on my face!

The ingredients you need are:
-100g of butter
-1/3 cup of honey
-1/4 tsp of bicarb soda
-1 cup plain flour

Method:
1. Preheat the oven(fan forced) to 180 degree celsius.
2. Add the butter and honey in a bowl and melt until just dissolved.
3. Then add flour and bicarb soda into the liquid mixture but be sure that it is just lukewarm.
4. Stir well till batter is all smooth.
5. Line your baking trays with baking paper. Using teaspoons, scoop one teaspoon and place it on the baking tray. Each scoop fairly apart from each other, depending in the amount of mixture you use as it will melt!
6. Bake it in the oven for 5-10 minutes or till it is tanned and not too dark!
7. Allow it to cool on the tray for a few minutes as it will still be extremely soft from the oven.
8. Transfer onto a wire rack to finish cooling. Then enjoy!! It's a great biscuit to do with little kids around because its so simple.

All my love, Ade

3. Pour mix into 4 ramekins or glasses and refrigerate until completely set!
4. Combine the strawberries, balsamic vinegar and sugar into a bowl and mix it well. then allow it to macerate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator before serving.
5. If using ramekins and it is time to serve, run a small knife around each of the ramekins, quickly dip the bottom of each ramekin in a bowl of hot water. then invert the ramekin onto a dessert plate or any plate and surround it with strawberries. but if you are using glasses, just top it up with strawberries and serve.

Chocolate chip cookies

Hey everyone!!
I'm back..I apologise for not posting up something for so long..
Well, the story behind this recipe is basically..I haven't baked anything in AGES so I couldn't stand it anymore and I thought of cookies right away..
I was a lil cheeky and a lil rebellious cause I wasn't suppose to be baking anything at all and I was suppose to be studying for an exam in November..
I manage to do it cause dad was asleep but I had to work extra quick to make the dough and put them on baking paper..I did all these in my room giving my dad the impression of me studying but I clearly wasn't.
Anyway,I've always loved Choc chip cookies..they are my favourites and I am very proud of this recipe cause its one of my own that I have tried and tested for awhile..
Enough talking and let's get cooking..
Ingredients:
125 grams of butter or margerine
1/2 of a cup of brown sugar
1/3 of a cup of caster sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 and a half cup of self raising flour
3/4 chocolate chip
Note: I had excess chocolate Easter eggs from Easter so I used them up
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius.
2. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
3. Mix in vanilla essence and egg.
4. Sift the flour into the bowl and stir in full combined.
5. Add in chocolate chips.
6. Place teaspoons of the mixture on a greased baking tray or a lined baking tray.
7. Bake for 15 minutes if till golden brown.
You now have yummy cookies to munch on..
Lots of love,
Ade the young learner..
=)

Leave comments and tell me what you think..
Thanks for reading!
Hope you had fun making them as much as I did..
Also,I'm sorry I don't have pictures for this post but I'll put them on once I make these cookies again..
The reason I don't have pictures is cause the kids I was babysitting..stole the cookies as they were cooling so I have none..I'm sorry..

Ade's Fried rice

Hey everyone, its ade and I'm back with another recipe. I made this fried rice cause I had extra rice but then when I wanted the other ingredients,I couldn't find any so I grabbed whatever I could find in the fridge and the pantry and went with it..
So here we go,

Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice
1 diced carrots
2 sliced sausages / frankfurts
3 diced bacon (I used shoulder cut)
1 diced large brown onion
1 cup chicken stock
1 lightly beaten egg
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sugar

Method:
1. Add oil, just to cover the pan.
2. Sweat off the carrots and onions. Then add the bacon and the sausages with a third of a cup of chicken stock to the pan.
3.Allow stock to evaporate and remove from heat.
4. Add more oil to fry of egg. Then once all cooked add in the carrots, onions, bacon and sausages back in.
5. Add rice and stir all ingredients together..
6. Once all combined add the rest of the stock to the pan and allow it to just evaporate..
Mix it throughout the process to make sure no rice is stuck at the bottom of the pan.
7. Next put in the soy sauce, sugar and the sweet soy sauce mix it well into the rice..
Should have even brown colour all over..
8. Add salt and pepper to taste to your liking of course.
